Riyadh Al Saleh’s Kharafi National has enjoyed a strong 12 months, and not just in its domestic market of Kuwait. In April 2016, it was announced that EMAC Contracting – an affiliate of parent company Al Kharafi & Sons Group – had completed the construction of 121 residential buildings in Egypt. The total cost of the project was approximately $33.7m (EGP300m), according to Amwal Al Ghad.
Last year, Al Saleh’s team completed works at Kuwait Oil Company’s (KOC) Fuel Gas Pipeline Project and Booster Station BS-171.
At present, Kharafi National is supporting construction activities at Kuwait National Petroleum Company’s (KNPC) Clean Fuel Project. The contract, which is due to be delivered next year, involves construction and pre-commissioning activities.
Al Saleh is responsible for a workforce of almost 27,000 people, up to 13% of whom are managers, engineers, superintendents, and technical and clerical staff.
Kharafi national also boasts a 6,100-strong fleet of company-owned heavy construction equipment.
