Dubai family entertainment and cultural destination Global Village closed at the weekend after recording five million visitors in what was its 18th and longest season to date.
The park’s management sought to benefit from Eid in October, excellent weather and the school holiday season in March and April to stay open for 190 days until April 12.
Announcing details of Season 19, Ahmed Hussain, COO of Global Village, said: “I am proud to say that Global Village has had an amazing 18th season and as we close the gates for the final time we are delighted to announce that our new season will open on 6th November 2014 and run until 11th April, 2015.”
He said the dates would allow Global Village to run more closely to the peak tourist season in Dubai and would ensure visitors could benefit from cooler weather.
He hoped it would also help strengthen the opportunity for more international visitors.
“Every year we are committed to ensuring the highest levels of quality and looking to see if there are areas to make the visitor experience better, which is why we have commissioned an independent customer feedback survey to further enhance our services,” he said.
The 18th season of Global Village featured 12,000 performances during the season, with the Lords of Lightning, All Star Dunkers; the Chinese Unicyclists; the Vander Skywheel; the Amazing Trial Motorcycle Show; Fairy Tales on Ice, and the Adelaide Fireshow among shows which drew the biggest crowds.

“Now as one season closes the management team and staff of Global Village are already starting the planning process for Season 19 to make it even bigger, more exciting and fun packed than ever before,” it said.
